@codyrougecaa client dreamed of having community map posters throughout their neighborhood, so students Drew McHale and Emma Voelker presented this stunning illustrated version as an option yesterday.
Students Jessica, Nora and James created a set of hand drawn icons to make @mydiscoveru more youthful and attract the high school-aged students they send on their fantastic learning opportunities. And Gabrielle pitched a slight logo clean-up to make the @mydiscoveru to look more university/academic and to differentiate it from Discover Card, Discovery Channel and other “discover” brands. Last client presentation of the semester with @wishuponateen. Their mission to make a difference in the lives of teens with severe life-limiting medical conditions really resonated with the students, making the design process especially important to all the teams. We are looking forward to seeing which team’s designs they move forward with for their Design My Room program. While they decide, we will be posting samples from each group throughout the next week. New logo and branding proposal for @shakespeareindetroit by @oaklandu students Jeanette Handy, Ciara Janay and Ali Muhajab. The group developed a new logo that works with a system of branded graphics that focuses on Shakespeare in Detroit producing site specific performances and's vision of being the "Shakespeare organization of the city" while also reaching a new audience of language speakers. The new branding uses bold typography, consistency across materials and a minimal color palette to develop brand recognition. Slide through to see a social media post advertising a future performance and how the branded graphics can reach a Spanish speaking audience in the form of a post card. Would you choose this for the rebranded identity? Why or why not?
